Fuel Facility Design

A new refuelling facility is a significant investment for a business and needs to be designed to properly service the requirements of the client. Vectec Ltd undertake Fuel Facility Design work for above and below ground fuelling facilities, providing designs to the standards of the APEA Blue Book 4th Edition 2018, which is the standard for UK forecourts.

As part of the design process, Vectec’s project team will review the site layout and existing drainage layouts to assess how what enabling works are required. Vectec will then discuss with the client how they envisage their fuel island working for them and will begin initial design drafts.

Vectec Ltd supply detailed CAD design drawings which can be produced both in pdf and dwg for import into an architect’s master site plans.

As part of the design project process where petrol is involved, Vectec can obtain the required petroleum storage license and vapour recovery permits from a local authority on the client’s behalf.

Vectec has carried out design work for a range of blue chip companies and public sector organisations since its establishment in 1994. Vectec carries all suitable Professional Indemnity insurance for these works.

Vectec can also offer a full installation programme following completion of design works, inclusive of groundworks, supply and installation of all hardware, hazardous area electrical works and commissioning. A full DSEAR risk assessment is included in this package, alongside detailed O&Ms.
